Some may show kindness on the outside just for appearance but on the inside they don't really mean it. For example, some may tithe but neglect to show kindness to others.

Matthew 20:1-16 Jesus Tells the Parable of the Vineyard Workers

In Matthew 20: 1-16, Jesus tells the Parable of a landowner of a vineyard who agreed to pay all his  workers a denarius for the day. Those who worked the entire day were paid the same amount as those who worked only an hour. This made those who worked more to grumble against the landowner, complaining that he was being unfair. The landowner answered by saying that he has the right to do what he wants with his money.

Help those who need help. It doesn't matter these 'little ones' cannot return the favour to you because God will see what your act of kindness.
